Go to some of the links to other Ukraine adoption blogs on the right side. After reading the blogs of people that are over there, I realize more and more everyday that the orphanages in Ukraine are not necessarily run-down, dilapidated old buildings with no Windows. Until I started on this journey, I always envisioned an eastern European orphanage like that. I've even seen pictures on the internet, obviously from other countries. On the contrary, it appears that these kids are kept warm, fed and taken care of by workers who do what they do because they believe they are making a difference to these kids. They are doing the best they can with what they have and are willing to let these children go to another family in a foreign country so these kids can have a future with loving parents. Each day I grow fonder of Ukraine and realize that these people are so much like us, with the same feelings, emotions, desires and hopes.
