It's 1:00 AM and my wife and I are wide awake. We just got off the phone with our Yuliya. It was the best call we've had yet. After so many months of calling her with bad news about how much longer she would have to wait while we do paperwork, and how we have no idea when we were coming, we were finally able to tell Yuliya that we have done everything we can, and are just waiting for a date to come get her. In her shy response, we could sense the joy and relief that we were finally calling her with this news. About 1/2 way through the call, Lena (our translator) came right out and asked Yuliya if she understood what was going on and if she was sure she wanted to come to our family to be adopted. Before Lena could barely finish the question, Yuliya answered in a very emphatic 'DAH'! There is no question that she wants us as much as we want her. In fact, every year she usually travels abroad to other host families. When we told her to not go with anyone this year because we would be there, she told us she had already told the director that she is staying at the orphange this year because we are coming for her. We had told her months ago that we would be there in the Spring/Summer. She had heard that and was already planning on it.
The next time we talk to her, we hope to tell her exactly when were going to be there.

Oh how wonderful!! I'm so exited for you guys!! I bet she is the happiest little girl today!!
How exciting! We're so happy that you received such welcome news! It is really reassuring to hear those things.
Oh, that is so sweet, she knows you are coming and she had already let the director know she wasn't going anywhere else. What faith these children have in us.
