Kind words from a stranger

I got a nice email from the Gashler family who had adopted from Ukraine several years ago. They are perfect strangers but have been following our blog and wanted to say hello and offer their encouragement. Coincidentally, they also went through Yuri and Elliana even though they did not go host through Save A Child. Below are the amazing before and after pictures of their daughter. They remember what it was like in Ukraine, and send this message to everyone:

"I am so grateful that people like you are adopting older children. After seeing street children in Ukraine, I vowed that if we ever adopted again, that it would be an older child that had little to no chance of being adopted. It is amazing what transformation takes place when one of these older children are placed in a permanent, loving home. Our daughter's transformation has been amazing."

Spontaneous emails offering words of encouragement or describing experiences appear in my email every so often. Each one makes me smile every time I read them. It's amazing what a few kind words can do. Thank you!

They left a comment a few days back on my blog and a link to their blog. What wonderful people. It's so nice to get encouragement especially with days like today when dates and reality may not coincide with your expectations!
Thank you for the words of encouragement and the link. I've been reading the blog but it's difficult with all the abbreviations as opposed to names. But I'm excited to follow her adventure in the Ukraine.
