Birthday package

Carrie put together a birthday package for Yuliya. Her birthday is on the 19th, so I sent it Priority Mail, hoping that somehow it would get there faster than the last one. (Thank you Elena for translating a letter for us!) While at the post office, I had a little fun with the clerk. He said it should get there in "6-10 days", but with no guarantee it. I told him that the last package we sent took almost 3 weeks, so why not be honest and change their time to "6 days to 3-4 weeks". He was not amused. Once the package leaves the US border, they have no control over how long customs holds on to it. When I asked how they came up with 6-10 days, he said that that's how long it would take in a perfect world with no delays along the way. The Postmaster General has obviously never sent a package to the eastern block. :)
