The countdown is on...

To say that Carrie and I have been happy is an understatement. I think intoxicated with joy is a more accurate description. Now if we could only speed up the clock! We tried to call Yuliya several times, but have not had much luck getting through. Carrie and I are at odds whether to tell her the date we're coming, or just a general idea. We have to tell her something. After all, she's been waiting for a date longer than we did and needs some real information when she asks 'When are you coming?'.

This weekend we went gift shipping for the people who have been influential in Yuliya's life. Natasha gave us some simple ideas on what women like, but what do Ukrainian men like from America? A tie? wallet? A pair of rawhide chaps? :-)

Meanwhile, we've been enjoying the other adoption blogs and emails. These being the first of the year, we're all watching them with eager anticipation. At the same time, we are praying for their success and safe return
