While noticing Yuliya's ever-increasing hair length, Carrie and I couldn't help remembering how excited she was when we bought her a bottle of Suave strawberry shampoo and conditioner. After that, she loved to take long baths and come out with her fruit-scented hair, walking around giving everyone in the family (including the cat) a sniff. She also talked about how thrilled her friends would be back home when they would be able to do the same thing. When she left, those 2 bottles were one of the first things she packed up.
The other night at Wal-Mart, I went to check if they still have it. Not only do they have strawberry, they also have tropical coconut, green apple, tangerine, vanilla, and cucumber melon. And the big bottles are only a $1 each! We'll bring a few of each and let Yuliya give them to her friends as gifts. By the time we leave Ukraine, that orphanage is going to smell like a giant fruit salad.
